Located in Livonia, Michigan at the Masco corporate offices, this position is responsible for reviewing, updating, and improving a variety of HR business processes executed by Masco’s HR Shared Services organization and Workday HCM platform. You will also team with fellow HRIS and HR Shared Service Professionals to drive value across the Masco enterprise through the Workday platform adoption.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Business Process Review and Analysis

  • Deliver HR Process Solutions - Organize and lead the analysis of business processes managed by HR Shared Services. Engage stakeholders at various levels of the organization and business units to collect information on current state and desired state. Initially will primarily focus on Core HCM processes, Security, Reporting, Workflow with additional assignments possible across the full Workday HR platform (Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Core HCM, Absence, Talent).

  • Analytical Problem Solving - Interpret information collected from multiple sources and from business process reviews to uncover redundancies, lack of controls, non-value added tasks and any other gaps impacting process efficiencies. 
  • Drive Continuous Improvement - Lead or participate in Kaizen’s  and HR process initiatives to enhance service delivery and add enterprise value (i.e. centralized leave administration, increased Workday process adoption).
  • Based on discovery of process requirements, identify and recommend improvements and opportunities for service improvement and resolve any service gaps. Propose workable and realistic solutions to improve business processes and articulate pros and cons for each solution. Present recommendations to stakeholders and business process owners to elicit decisions.
  • Collaborate - Collaborate with business partners and HRIS to implement business process improvement solutions. Submit and track improvement suggestions, participate and/or lead project status meetings, and drive stakeholders and project players to desired results.
  • Conduct bench marking and research initiatives to ensure Masco HR Shared Service operations are continually improved and optimized.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  •  Degree in HR, Business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with HR business processes
  • 5+ years of experience working on complex business process projects.
  • 5+ years of working within HRIS platforms, Workday preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and/or project teams. 
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse functional groups, including technical staff, senior management and third parties. Able to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization, both in writing and verbally. Experience speaking to audiences and experience interacting with business leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to breakdown broad activities into specific tasks to identify process issues and perform root cause analysis. Familiar with end-to-end business process analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience fostering cross functional work to design and implement end-to-end solutions.
  • Excellent priority setting and time management skills. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Workday Platform experience highly preferred(we will provide training as needed)
  • Project management certification preferred (PMP or equivalent).
  • Insanely curious individual that thrives on continuous learning
  • Detailed experience working with Human Resource processes and functions
  • Formal business process improvement methodology certification preferred. Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma training a plus.
