Position Summary: The Human Resources Generalist position performs a variety of Human Resources functions for the Masco Headquarter office under the guidance of the Corporate HR partner. This is a great role for anyone interested in an employee relations role focused on organizational development and change management work.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the recruitment process. This includes meeting with managers to discuss positions, coordinating interviews and job postings, developing interview questions, interviewing and assessing candidates, preparing offer letters, conducting new hire orientations and coordinating the summer internship program.
  • Provides manager and individual contributor support across a broad range of HR needs, including: employee relations, policy and procedure interpretation, employee on-boarding and off-boarding.
  • Supports change management activities, including working with internal stakeholders on project coordination, communication plans, attending meetings to track and report on project status and tracking change readiness measures and post-implementation change adoption.
  • Recommends best practices and new approaches for policies and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of HR services.
  • Identifies and tracks key performance indicators on talent acquisition, performance management, turnover and other related metrics.
  • Supports the review and administration of the ethics program.
  • Coordinates immigration cases and processing with external legal counsel.
  • Assists with special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to work independently with attention to detail and sense of urgency, and the ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple projects, customers and deadlines at the same time
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, collaborate with colleagues to meet those needs, and develop and leverage effective relationships with colleagues, customers and partners at various organizational levels
  • Proven ability to think critically about data to help formulate conclusions for management decision making, and proven experience in analyzing, interpreting and presenting information utilizing Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
