Masco UK Window Group (UKWG) is the United Kingdom’s largest manufacturer of PVC windows, doors, composite and glass offering the complete solution for specifiers, fabricators and installers across all market sectors. UKWG is an integrated business which controls full product specification from R&D, through extrusion, frame, glass and composite manufacture.

Position Summary

UKWG is seeking a Group Chief Financial Officer to manage the company’s finances efficiently and effectively to meet corporate governance requirements and provide timely and authoritative financial advice as required to support and assist in the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives. The incumbent will support the business in proactively, identifying risk, driving cost reduction and profit improvement initiatives and overall strategic direction. This executive position reports directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer for the UKWG and is located in Caerphilly, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

To be part of the leadership team to develop and execute the business strategy and assist in defining/implementing the strategy to achieve year on year growth to budgeted requirements, by executing the business goals through a combination of strategy deployment processes and problem-solving techniques.
• Manage, direct and influence the Finance Team to deliver their agreed goals and to support and challenge the Leadership team of the business to ensure execution of the business strategy.
• Build a results oriented team that provides development of individuals and succession planning pipeline.
• Design, establish, and maintain an organisational structure and resource to effectively accomplish the department’s goals/objectives.
• To deliver the future integrated needs of the business. Interact with other Group Functions to ensure alignment in order to meet group goals/objectives.
Responsible for the Finance function making an active contribution to the performance, development of the Long-Range Plan of the business.
• Ensure financial systems conform to UK and US corporate governance requirements and global best practices and ensure implementation and compliance with all Masco accounting policies across the Group.
• Recommend, advise and implement a lean methodology approach to systems and processes to control and accommodate change.
• Support the Group CEO in any acquisition/divesture activity and be responsible for leading business critical projects as and when required.
• Produce budgets, forecasts and KPI’s analysing as well as explaining variances on a regular basis.
• Support in the development and roll out of KPI’s across the Finance Team and the Group to assist in meeting both departmental and Group Objectives
• Ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness of management and monthly reporting.
• Ensuring SOX compliance and maintenance of solid internal control environment, local statutory and tax compliance at all group divisions.
• Liaise on a regular basis on issues with Corporate Group Controlling.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.

Required Education, Experience and Other Qualifications

Degree in Accounting / MBA

• Qualified ACA or CIMA

• Technically up to date on accounting policies

• Knowledge of US accounting practices an advantage (including Sarbanes Oxley legislation)

• Experience in corporate and middle size manufacturing companies

• Profit orientated with post qualification financial experience in a manufacturing business

• Operating in a Multi Company / site environment at board level

• Proven People Management and People Development coaching skills

• Good communication skills

• Understands the requirements of working within a global US owned multi-national business

• Determination to succeed in attainment of challenging targets

• The ability to motivate and develop the team and individuals.

• Has energy and drive in ensuring key objectives are met
