POSITION SUMMARY:

Operates and rotates responsibility within semi-automatic and manual work cells that assemble components onto valve bodies.  This includes packaging and material handling of product to standards.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and interprets schedule, backorder report and add-on sheets to support requirements.
  • Responsible for machine set-up and assembly of G2 valve bodies per schedule, while maintaining established production and quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Orders and receives valves and components as needed.
  • Retrieves component parts for use from other areas, maintains components in work area.
  • Packages completed assemblies from G2 manual area and delivers to shipping staging areas.
  • Makes visual inspections of components / finished good for quality purposes.
  • Operates computer based quality measuring equipment.
  • Interacts with Warehouse, assembly, shipping, Quality Assurance, Plater, and Machine Shop.
  • Perform material handling functions as needed.
  • Cross train and perform in other work centers as needed to meet customer demands.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Must maintain good safety practices, and good organizational skills.
  • Team oriented, works well with others.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
  • Self-directed
  • Good attendance and work record
  • Able to perform repetitive motions with both arms and hands.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Good basic math skills
  • Good time management skills.
