The purpose of this role is to develop new finishing processes and controls, improve the process capability of current finishing processes, lead equipment upgrades, and problem-solve to improve product quality, reduce lead time, eliminate waste, and reduce cost. This position helps build the vision of finishing for Delta Faucet and executes the finishing strategy at the shop floor level.  The individual will apply their expertise in CI methodologies to develop, lead and mentor others using Lean tools to improve the capability of finishing processes.


  • Develop, implement, audit and sustain machine and process control plans

  • Apply Lean, CI and structured problem solving (SPS) principals to develop strategies and programs that improve part quality and machine performance

  • Collaborate with individuals at corporate, plant locations, shop floor and vendors on finishing topics

  • Determine the controlling process factors and their interactions

  • Measure critical factors of processes

  • Analyze data to assess process performance

  • Tackle low performance and make improvements based on findings

  • Communicate significant issues and / or problems and provide recommendations.


Education and Experience/Skills:

•You will have a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline (i.e., Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Engineering).

•Advanced level of CI methodologies; skilled at leading multi-functional teams through structured problem solving events like Kaizen events, Value Stream mapping, and A3

•Good interpersonal skills to communicate with and build strong working relationships with team members at all levels of the organization

•Be able to think and act independently and with little direct mentorship

•Possess a strong analytical problem solving approach to work
