A Fabrication Specialist job in Fife, Washington is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. As a Fabrication Specialist, you are in a critical support function for the needs of the production, quality, maintenance and tooling departments. You will be the fabrication expert on your assigned shift and will provide you with the opportunity to interface with all levels of the plant. This role will require you to be hands on, involved in a variety of activities and allows you to utilize strong decision-making abilities.

Fabrication Specialist job responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting tool issues while working with production and maintenance departments to resolve issues on the manufacturing lines.
  • Ability to manage small to medium new and restorative tooling projects.
  • Ability to perform tooling and fabrication work through reading blueprints.
  • Apply attention to detail abilities through the process of cleaning and restoring various tooling equipment.
  • Ability to proficiently use various tools specifically all air and hand-tools. Lathe, mill, or welding experience is a plus.
  • Conduct maintenance projects for the Tooling Shop equipment and department.
  • Knowledge of requirements for inspecting tools, setting up equipment, and inspecting machine tooling.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Welding experience (tig) with stainless steel and mild steel is a plus.
  • Tool and die equipment experience and training is a plus.
