Job Description


  • Lead the data collection, reporting and records maintenance efforts of the Environmental, Regulatory and Sustainability department in support of its regulatory, compliance and sustainability programs including, but not limited to, RCRA, Clean Air and Clean Water Act, and TSCA .
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of environmental tools used within the organization such as regulatory workbooks, guidance documents and task matrices.
  • Conduct research on pertinent environmental and sustainability management topics.
  • Process and record department expenditures and support development of annual budget.


  • Support organizational environmental regulatory programs by working with distribution and manufacturing facilities and external consultants to collect, maintain and report on data for reporting and permitting requirements.
  • Support organizational ISO 14001 environmental management and sustainability programs by working with internal and external entities to collect, maintain and report on utility and other data to track sustainability efforts and key performance indicators.
  • Assist preparation of internal and external reports and presentations related to waste, chemical inventory, energy use, water use, etc.
  • Maintain documents and records such as waste manifests in accordance with federal, state, local and organizational retention policies.
  • Conduct research on environmental regulations, management strategies, tools and technologies.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science, environmental law, paralegal studies or other scientific discipline and 1-2 years of related work or internship experience.
  • Very strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and describe issues and solutions.
  • Ability to interact with many different types of individuals, including consultants, executives, scientists and other business professionals.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and research experience strongly preferred including RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, TSCA, etc.

    Data collection and management: 12 hours per week

    Document and records control, including expenditures: 8 hours per week

    Reporting assistance/presentation development: 8 hours per week

    Tool development and maintenance: 6 hours per week

    Research: 6 hours per week
