The EDI Analyst position will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing Kichler Lighting's strategies and initiatives for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are properly executed, including development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects. The EDI Analyst will also act as liaison between end users and the IT staff implementing EDI-based applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with trading partners to transition specific EDI documents, partner setups and processing requirement.
  • Map specific EDI documents using provided customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot EDI document processing errors and work with trading partners directly to resolve in a timely matter.
  • Work with EDI VAN to setup communications, validate certificates, etc.
  • Work with third party EDI providers as needed.
  • Support internal resources to resolve issues, answer questions, and retransmit EDI documents when necessary.
  • Document, test and deploy new and enhanced EDI maps while adhering to SOX compliance and change control procedures.
  • Work with end users to ensure user acceptance testing is thorough and complete.
  • Complete EDI customer setup in ERP.

Requirements:

  • Must have 5+ years of EDI experience (setup, mapping, testing, processing, troubleshooting).
  • Experience in interfacing EDI transactions with ERP systems.
  • Worked directly with trading partners through the on-board process.
  • Thorough knowledge of ANSI X12 standards.
  • Proficient in data transmissions using AS2, SFTP, and VAN.
  • Willing to take on support responsibilities.
  • Experience with SQL and XML.
  • Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be well organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess the ability to perform successfully under pressure while dealing with multiple projects in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Worked with Altova’s MapForce (optional requirement).
  • Worked with Epicor’s Prophet 21 ERP (optional requirement).
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of business process and operations that include Order-to-Cash, Purchase–to-Pay, Demand Planning and Fulfillment.
