POSITION SUMMARY:

The DC Analyst is a key support role to the logistics and distribution center team.  This role will have key interactions with the Customer and Sales Support Team along with Distribution Center personnel.  This role is located at our 3PL Distribution Center in McDonough, GA with regular travel to the corporate HQ in Novi, MI.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Field shipment tracking requests from BMC and 3PL team members
  • Process customer orders
  • Work with the Distribution Leads and Supply Planners on intercompany shipments to the DCs
  • Communicate urgent shipments via inbound/outbound logs
  • Resolved discrepancies on orders between the 3PL and BMC plants or suppliers
  • Liaison between Logistics, Manufacturing Locations, and Distribution teams
  • Assist in capturing and publishing DC KPIs
  • Complete quarterly inventory audits at DC
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the DC processes and procedures
  • Maintain the Customer Requirements documentation for the DCs and plants
  • Create, update, and maintain SOP documentation for training and reference
  • Monitor daily inventory reconciliation between DCs and BMC
  • Support daily management and problem solving for the Logistics and Distribution Team
  • Review returns for damages and disposition
  • Perform other related duties as needed and assigned
  • Freight claim tracking and follow-up
  • Support logistics on route management, customer requirements, etc.
  • Additional duties as require
  • Travel 20%+

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced level MS Excel user

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Experience with order management and replenishment
  • JD Edwards, Manugistics experience
