We are hiring a Director to join our Supply Chain team!


Directs an organization's overall strategic global supply chain to drive operational excellence and best practices to improve purchasing, product costs, productivity, quality, and the efficiency of operations.  Areas of responsibility include purchasing and inventory of raw materials, selection of vendors, distribution of finished goods, master scheduling, production planning, warehousing, logistics, and international trade compliance, for both U.S. and Mexico operations.   


  • Define the strategic direction for Watkins’ worldwide supply chain management, in keeping with the Company’s overall business strategies. Effectively communicates on a consistent basis with executives and managers in order to establish and execute integrated supply chain initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs throughout the supply chain group utilizing the Masco Operating System (MOS).  Responsible for driving functional and process improvement initiatives across Company departments, and into the supply base.
  • Lead cost containment/reduction efforts (TCP) through supplier relationships and negotiations and low cost regional sourcing, in conjunction with quality, continuity of supply, time to market, and service support.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies for purchasing and storage of raw materials to minimize working capital costs and minimize inventory space requirements while ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Oversee the Service Parts and Accessories group to achieve optimal service levels.


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/Operations or an Engineering discipline; at least 10-years’ related experience in the areas of Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Planning and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Strong cross-functional experience and a minimum of 5 years’ experience directly leading multiple department headcounts.
  • MBA and APICS certificate preferred
  • Must be able to prepare reports, performance reviews, worksheets, charts, schedules, procedures, and other data as necessary. 
  • ERP system experience a must. 
  • Able to present information to a group of co-workers, supervisors, managers or higher-level executives. Ability to influence and collaborate across various functions and levels within the company.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as strong ability to work in a team environment, are required to be successful in this position.
  • The employee must be willing to travel frequently to Watkins’ facilities in Tijuana, Mexico, as well as travel 10 – 15% to visit suppliers and attend conferences
