Brasscraft Manufacturing Company, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality water and gas flow control products, plumbing service and repair parts, and drain cleaning and plumbing hand tools for the new construction and repair/remodel markets. Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Director, Procurement & Brasscraft Asia Operations will manage our global supply base and will lead our strategic sourcing initiatives. The role is accountable for leading a team of US and Taiwan-based resources to develop innovative sourcing strategies to leverage spend, optimize cost, reduce risk, and improve supplier product quality and on-time delivery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of sourced products and relationships with respective suppliers.
  • Lead a Purchasing organization of approximately 60 employees, consisting of 6 US direct reports and Brasscraft Asia, a strategic sourcing group based in Taiwan.
  • Lead and direct a high performing and motivated professional staff responsible for interfacing with functional/business unit management and external partners.
  • Manage complex sourcing projects involving Requests for Proposals (RFP), Request For Information (RFI), Supplier Selection, and Supplier assessment processes.
  • Develop and negotiate highly complex, corporate-wide, strategic partnerships encompassing product development, channel partner and outsourced services.
  • Work with outside vendors, negotiate supply agreements, and establish long-term procurement strategies.
  • Maintain and optimize sourcing strategies with 3rd party contract organizations.
  • Work with internal departments including Product Development, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to gather and interpret business requirements for Supplier product design, quality, and delivery.
  • Create and maintain alignment of functional leaders, senior management and external partners to drive results.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects that provide efficiencies in sourcing and product cost.
  • Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities and efficiencies and work collaboratively with team members to prioritize and drive implementation.
  • Manage a diverse supply base with an annual spend exceeding $200M.

Required Education, Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10 years of global sourcing experience, with strong negotiation and contract administration experience.
  • 5-10 years of previous management experience leading global teams.
  • Experience budgeting, financial analysis and cost control practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross functional business teams.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines\\Strategic sourcing expertise managing a portfolio of suppliers and externally sourced products.
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • APICS, CPIM, or CPM certifications a plus.
