Milgard Windows & Doors is the leading manufacturer of windows and doors in the Western United States with operations in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, and Texas.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to join their leadership team in Sacramento, California. 

The Director of Operations will have multi-site responsibility.   This role is responsible for operations functions to include: Production, Delivery, Warehouse, Maintenance, Scheduling, Materials, Purchasing and all associated personnel at multiple locations.  Our large, complex manufacturing operation requires this leader to drive effort resulting in operational efficiencies by improving processes; reducing costs; quality monitoring and improvements; new product development and implementation; superior customer service; and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive accountability to a safety-first culture.
  • Use a data driven approach in managing the operating budget to control expenditures and variances and enhance the profitable operation of the plant.
  • Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
  • Supervise a diverse workforce to ensure their training and development is sufficient to enhance productivity while supporting ongoing development and employee engagement.
  • Incorporates Milgard's Core Values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard Core Values

Viable candidates should possess a minimum of 10+ years of related experience with a record of achieving results through people in a manufacturing environment. Strong background of managing financial performance of daily operations, development and execution of long range plans and leveraging lean and continuous improvement methodologies to drive improvement in critical metrics.  BA/BS degree required, Master's degree preferred.
