Job scope/ Summary

  • Manage, develop, implement, and support all facets of internal direct delivery programs within the company, creating a best in class experience for our internal and external customers. Working safely is part of our culture and is a condition of employment.


  • Budget, service and efficiency responsibility for all direct delivery related transportation
  • Plan for future growth and business development, service options and best practices by ensuring delivery model fits revenue growth model
  • Oversee the logistics for job-site delivery for B2C (business to end user)
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive landscape to develop logistics strategy with the changing business and customer needs
  • Track and achieve key performance metrics
  • Develop training programs to insure all direct delivery personnel are trained and accountable in job duties, safety practices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain and strengthen a positive, customer centered, results oriented culture within the direct delivery system
  • Manage, monitor, and implement change and/or enhancements (where needed) in transportation planning tools
  • Preform studies and manage projects in related business areas
  • Manage all transportation providers and provide best in class options for DDS services
  • Manage all internal fleet delivery assets, including maintenance & fuel programs
  • Manage all company equipment leases and purchases for DDS, Shuttle, and warehouse handling equipment
  • Plan, monitor, and act on changes that will enhance, final mile, white glove service, and/or reduce expenses
  • Prepare and report on monthly financial performance of all areas of direct delivery services
  • Ensure 100% DOT compliance on all areas of safety, fleet, and driver management
  • Interface with sales on new service programs and offerings
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in transportation management in fleet, delivery, trucking, parcel, or distribution/logistics operation
  • Experience with supervising, leading, guiding, coaching, and managing a diverse team
  • Experience in DOT Equipment Maintenance management
  • Experience in carrier, parcel, and courier freight negotiations
  • Experience in warehouse handling equipment lease negotiations
  • Experience in property lease negotiation and management
  • Experience with multi-functional business background with strong emphasis in transportation, cost control and customer satisfaction


  • Knowledge of MS Office Suites, and/or software application related to job functions
  • Highly skilled and effective in presenting technical and/or abstract information to a wide audience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to construct and manage budgets and consolidate complex data into understandable information
  • Ability to construct and implement a project plan
