The Delivery Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling of shipping to Milgard’s customers and for maintaining all corresponding paperwork.  The Delivery Coordinator  acts as a liaison between Milgard’s delivery drivers, warehouse operations, and customers.  The Delivery Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring customers are notified of any shipping issues regarding delivery of their windows, trouble-shooting any existing problems/issues, and scheduling a “fire truck” whenever possible.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates best routing for delivery drivers, service technicians, and installation technicians for deliveries/services that occur throughout California and Nevada.
  • Ensures corresponding manifest accompanies the delivery driver/service technician/installation technician on their route.
  • Coordinates and ships smaller parts to customers via UPS or FEDEX as needed.
  • Coordinates “Will-Call” orders by ensuring the shipment has been pulled and is ready for pick up. Assists in pulling customer or “Will-Call orders from the warehouse as needed.
  • Supports the Shipping and Loading Departments in researching appropriate documentation.
  • Calls customers to coordinate delivery dates and times.
  • Processes delivered shipments and performs invoicing duties.
  • Maintains customer files (both electronically and manually) with accurate documentation: manifests, invoices, etc.
  • Provides quality customer service and customer care in support of Milgard customer-base.
  • Reviews and processes service requests in a timely fashion.
  • Works extensively with all departments to ensure proper workflow.
  • Incorporates Milgard’s vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard philosophy
  • Adheres to all facets of safety policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of one (1) or more years’ experience in customer service utilizing an AS400 system is highly desired, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Routing/Dispatching experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Knowledge of ORACLE-based ERP systems strongly preferred.
  • Previous window sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Ability to interface effectively with a variety of departments and personnel at all levels of the organization required.
  • Prior experience in problem solving or troubleshooting issues, researching and recommending possible solutions, and notifying appropriate personnel required.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:

  • Able to read and use a tape measure and operate basic hand tools.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to use basic math skills.
  • Ability to get along well with co-workers.
  • Ability to work independently, perform well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Computer knowledge and ability to learn new computer software programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged sitting and terminal use.
  • Ability to move around a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have the ability to move and lift materials and products weighing up to 100 lbs. as needed.
  • Full hand dexterity; fingering required.
  • Overtime may be required, including weekends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Multiple phone lines.
