Delta Faucet Company has an awesome new opportunity in our Supply Chain/Logistics department as a Customer Distribution Specialist!

The Customer Distribution Specialist provides the necessary operational, tactical and systems support to consistently meet and exceed our Customers’ shipping expectations and Delta’s internal delivery performance metrics.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Serve as logistics liaison with key strategic customers such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wal-Mart and Ferguson to ensure the implementation of strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with customers on shipping issues effecting each entity’s supply chain and implement improvements that are mutually beneficial
  • Participate on internal key customer teams which meet on a regular basis
  • Lead cross-functional teams to effectively plan for the seamless execution of promotional and large volume retail reset programs
  • Support the CDC on process enhancements that drives distribution and receiving productivity improvements
  • Provide Warehouse Management System support and optimization
  • Propose and implement distribution strategies to improve operational expenses, on-time shipping performance and compliance. Develop associated business cases as required.
  • Identify ways to leverage 3PL network, including expanding usage of customers and products within these facilities.
  • Perform distribution and activity-based cost analyses
  • Keep abreast of market, industry and technical knowledge and trends through formal and informal continuing education opportunities
  • Develop, refine and articulate business practices and policies verbally and in written documentation
  • Complete performance management activities (includes level of service, capacity, CI and compliance)
  • Lead or participate in Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Prepare, analysis and report 3PL forecasts
  • Complete distribution financial invoice auditing and reporting. Ensure timely reconciliation of any inventory discrepancies.
  • Complete analytics and reporting (development and administration of metrics, scorecards, etc.)
  • Act as the internal consultant on Delta’s distribution network
  • Lead or be a stakeholder on other supply chain projects as required

Education and Experience:

.The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or related field and 3 or more years of related Supply Chain experience is preferred. MBA preferred, but not required. It is beneficial that this individual has experience working with a multiple DC network. Knowledge of inventory transactions/controls and ERP/WMS systems are highly desired.

The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This person will have proven records of identifying and implementing: cost savings and service improvement programs. In addition, must possess highly developed project management, interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, continuous improvement, collaboration, communication, innovative and analytical skills
