Key Responsibilities:

  • Researches, collects and resolves past due invoices or invoices in dispute on assigned portfolio.   Maintains historical and current notes & records on accounts as well as on past due invoices.  Requests and has to interpret Proof Of Deliveries in order to get payment on some invoices.  Must build & maintain a business friendly relationship with their clients.  Must understand dating & terms & be able to discuss with customers.
  • Resolve deductions by obtaining claims from customers and gathering proper backup documentation & findings to be able to either credit account or contact customer for negotiation of payment. Works with and researches buyback deductions by analyzing returns vs customer claims.  Must analyze documentation to determine if customer’s claim is valid.  Will work with various departments on research & back up.  Must be able to interpret Proof of Deliveries, Bill of Ladings and other shipping documents.
  • Becomes familiar with customer’s web portals, how to determine if invoices are paid, when the next check will come out, how to dispute, where to look for chargeback backup.  Works on portal every day to ensure Liberty is paid on time and there are no problems going on.
  • Reconcile customer checks to determine if funds are properly applied and deductions entered.
  • Assist Credit Director in monthly reporting.  Analyze financial reports and various aging reports.  Work with customizing  aging reports to best help themselves keep accounts current.
  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Will work on various teams to resolve compliance or pricing issues.


  • High school diploma and preferred two years’ experience in Accounts Receivable & Credit.
  • Experience & general knowledge of deductions/charge-backs as well as experience working with customers who use a portal is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and JDE.
