Purpose:

Delta Faucet Company has an excellent opportunity for a Cost Analyst to join our Indianapolis Finance Team. Delta's Cost Analyst is responsible for providing ongoing analysis and support related to cost of sales (material, labor, and overhead) and inventory.  Are you driven, highly analytical, and self-directed? If so, this is the opportunity for you. You will work cross-functionally and partner closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and other finance teams.  In addition, you will leverage your understanding of cost accounting standards and principles to perform cost accounting work to analyze variances, develop standard cost data and accurate inventory valuation.  Position reports to the Senior Manager, Cost Accounting. 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and leads the processing of annual cost estimates and activities.
  • Execute month end close process and analysis, as well as monthly forecasting and annual planning.
  • Provide detailed analysis and recommendations for insourcing and outsourcing decisions related to products.
  • Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the division’s cost of sales against historical, budgeted, and forecasted results.
  • Maintain and develop various financial models for commodities, currencies, and inflation.
  • Assist with the analysis of segment profitability
  • Ensure application of established financial controls within area of responsibility by the effective implementation and maintenance of financial policies and instructions; and by the establishment, maintenance and audit of effective and reliable control procedures.
Education and Experience/Skills:

B.S. degree in Accounting from a 4 year college or university with a minimum five years of experience, preferably in a standard costing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  The incumbent must have the ability to effectively handle multiple problems that are varied and often non-repetitive.  The successful incumbent will have highly developed analytical skills and excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization.  SAP experience preferred, but not required.  Must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and a high standard of ethics.  Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
