Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a Contract Review Specialist at our Adrian location!

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day processing of builder contracts; build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers; provide support to the Supervisor of Contract Review.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review proposed Subcontractor Agreements to identify nonconformity with matrix of applicable Masco entity.
  • Modify agreements and/or prepare addendums to comply with Masco Contract Control Policy.
  • Assist contract negotiations by providing requested documents, reviewing prepared documents, preparing checklists or the like, for external customers.
  • Actively interface with internal and external customers in all media of communication.
  • Upload documents into Masco’s Contract Account Tool (MCAT) according to policy.
  • Procure insurance certificates through broker according to contractual obligations.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.
  • Resolve customer issues to enhance and build relationships internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 4 year degree in business, paralegal or English or equivalent contract experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in contract review, paralegal or relevant field.
  • Proficient computer skills required including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Must perform accurate work under the pressures of tight schedules.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to input data with a high accuracy rating, and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent technical capabilities.
  • Experience in the builder industry and knowledge of builder contracts.
