The Continuous Improvement Engineer works with all plant departments to continuously improve all aspects of the business with an emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.


  • You will decide how to measure critical factors of processes and develop systems to address the true process requirements.
  • Gather and analyze data on demands, workforce utilization, materials, and space requirements to develop optimized flow of work.
  • You will facilitate improvement events on production and business processes to establish and enhance efficiency.
  • Lead internal projects and collaborate with external contractors on changes to production processes, support-function processes, and the facility layout.
  • Give effective updates on status of projects, identified needs, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • You will be providing direction to hourly continuous improvement team members and mentoring plant team leaders on Masco Production System tools such as 5S, Waste Analysis, Standard Work, Time Studies, Standard Work Auditing, and Problem Solving.

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. This position typically requires 3-5 years of industry experience with demonstrated ability to lead process development activities to successful completion.
  • Knowledgeable of CI methodologies. Problem solving, planning, and project management skills shown by your previous work experience.
  • Capable of communicating effectively with various business levels and functions.
  • Skilled at facilitating Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping workshops with multi-functional groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Package.
  • Capable of developing reports and presenting information to various audiences.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and 3D Modeling software. (experience with CREO is a plus)
  • Familiarity with robotics and experience working with PLC's. (Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Capable of working with minimal direct guidance.
