Job Summary:

As a Business Intelligence Manager, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to drive the selection, development and implementation of corporate wide standards and solutions for reporting and analytics. This key role within the IT organization will have oversight of data preparation, data warehousing, information delivery and overall BI program at Kichler.

Job Specific Competencies:


  • Critical Thinking: Develop, support and implement Kichler’s data integration strategy for the central data foundation covering all internal & external, structured & unstructured data requirements.
  • Communication: Leverage interpersonal communication skills to develop and manage cross functional relationships with internal business partners like sales, marketing, finance, operations and product development. Maintain a trusted business partner standard interacting with stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Problem Solving: Architect business wide reporting and analysis solutions and develop new applications and dashboards in response to identified business needs. Provide ongoing support for data usage and analysis throughout the organization. Anticipate and proactively develop future requirements to build solutions geared towards future needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead project implementation of selection solutions for the collection, compilation, and organization of datasets from multiple data sources. Analyze current systems and processes and recommend new and improved ways to manage data for better and faster decision making.
  • Work Standard: Establish and maintain process standards, policies, and procedures for a strong BI program at Kichler.
  • Teamwork: Develop, train, and mentor team members to facilitate their career growth as well as drive excellence in their execution of business objectives.

Education /  Experience:

  • 7-9 years’ experience focused intensely on data modeling, data analytics and reporting in a manufacturing/CPG environment
  • Ability to manage multi-faceted projects with complex deliverables and meet aggressive deadlines
  • 4-6 years’ experience in CPG environment preferred
  • Proficient experience architecting BI tools and framework needed
  • Experience in relational data bases (MS SQL, Teradata, Oracle, DB2) and good knowledge of SQL
  • Strong background in data architecture, data mining, and data cleansing
  • Knowledge of BI tools e.g. Analysis Server, SAP HANA, Cognos, Oracle BI, SAP BW preferred
  • Strong experience in visualization tools such as power BI, Qlik, Tableau preferred
  • Experience or knowledge of Azure Cloud technology (Azure architecture, implementations, and migrations) and Big Data – Hadoop, Java, Python, Spark, Hive, Databricks – beneficial
  • A history of establishing KPIs and targets and introducing best practices
  • Demonstrated capacity for big picture, strategic thinking and attention to detail
  • Agile and DevOps Team Experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and business resources.
