We are seeking a 1st shift Booth Operator for our Finishing Dept. 423.  We offer hourly wage + OT + full benefit package including employee discounts on a wide range of products.

  • Prepare finish so that it is ready to spray, including moving full drums, catalyzing and flushing out lines.
  • Must possess good basic math and reading skills, as well as good communication skills – add, subtract, figure ratios and track downtime; read SOP’s, computer screens, pressure gauges, orders and log books; communicate with others, understand and follow instructions given over 2-way radio, and communicate mechanical problems to maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of finishing materials that have been used.
  • Set up guns to ensure that finish goes on properly.
  • Must be able to program and operate booth computers.
  • Measure wet and dry mills several times daily to assure that finish is properly applied.
  • Must be able to take samples, run tests, interpret test results and operate computerized testing equipment.
  • Must be able to perform routine maintenance on booth – change air and fluid lines, filters, pumps, scotch brite and spray guns and tips.
  • Must be willing to do physical labor – hand sanding, flipping and loading of doors.
  • Maintain constant awareness of spray guns and ensure line is moving well.
  • Perform material coordinator duties as assigned.
  • Required to complete Haz Mat and Lock out Tag Out training.
  • Utilize safety standards and precautions to ensure fires do not break out.
  • Assist in the training of temporary/new employees.
  • Able to read and follow production and pack schedules
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to endure chemical odor.
