JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:

Evaluate, test systems and software to verify programs function according to specifications and standards

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Contribute to establishment of standards and procedures for systems testing
  • Create test plans, test cases test data and test systems to ensure compliance to specifications and documentation
  • Identify program variances from objectives and suggests modifications to conform
  • Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in system functions, outputs, online screens and content
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Associate Degree in a computer or equivalent work experience in Information Systems analysis or support

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:

  • 1 year experience as a software tester or similar role
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suites and/or software applications related to job functions
  • Knowledge of browser and mobile testing
  • Some knowledge of information systems and technology, computer hardware/software and operating systems
  • Ability to develop and work according to structured plans within specified deadlines and give proper attention to details
  • Ability to embrace new concepts in information systems methodology and technology
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work overtime as required, might include late nights or weekends
