SUMMARY

The Retail Assistant Manager reports to and works closely with the Retail Sales Manager to maximize the overall success of the organization.  This position is responsible for the daily management of the retail team.  Responsibilities include developing and implementing best practices for the team, effective cross-departmental communication, training of new hires, and monitoring effectiveness and usage of retail plans and strategies. This position shares in the responsibility with the Retail Sales Manager for the growth and maintenance of Retail Sales Team.  The Retail Assistant Manager must able to handle highly strategic conversations and ready to fill in for any of the team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Influence Retail Sales, training, and activities.
  • Work closely with the retail manager and marketing to develop and implement strategies to maximize lead conversion through strategic assignment.
  • Responsible for continuing to develop and implement the core activities for daily management.
  • Follows strategic retail sales and marketing plans, policies, and procedures to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Coordinates on-going sales and technical training initiatives for the retail sales staff.
  • Works with Marketing to develop and produce promotional and collateral materials.
  • Assist the retail team with administrative and systems requests.
  • Assess the role of the Lead Engagement Rep to maximize their effectiveness.
  • Maintain KPI’s and Daily Management reports of Retail Sales staff.
  • Suggests and participates in new ways and means to address the changing patterns of the market place, producing higher sales, efficiency and market share.
  • Suggest and participates in corrective action for retail representatives not conducting business in accordance with the policies, procedures, or standards of EP or those failing to reach sales quotas.
  • The Retail Assistant Manager must think, represent, and see themselves as an ambassador of the Endless Pools brand.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This role manages and directs staff in retail sales.  This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports and for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations applicable laws.  This position develops and manages expense budgets for the assigned regio

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 5+ years of progressively responsible  sales management experience preferred. 

    COMPUTER AND OTHER SKILLS

    Proficient user in MS Office suite. Must be able to prepare reports, performance reviews, worksheets, charts, schedules, procedures, and other data as necessary.  ERP system experience helpful.  Organized and detail-oriented.   Dynamic speaker - able to present information to a group to staff, customers, dealers, and higher-level executives.  Ability to engage and influence audience.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.   The individual must be able to interface with co-workers, internal departments, service providers, and customers in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, owner’s operating manual, and service procedure manuals.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.  This position may require 15-20% travel.  Travel often includes Open Houses, with the ability to work long days while maintaining an engaging level of enthusiasm and passion.
