We are seeking an Assistant Product Manager to join our Product Management team!

Does product planning, development and implementation excite you? The Assistant Product Manager (APM) supports the Product Managers in all aspects of the Hot Spring®, Caldera®, Aquatic Fitness®, Freeflow®, Fantasy® and AHS spa lines in addition to aftermarket products, from conceptual stages through product life cycles. In this role you will help identify and analyze product and competitive insights and provide support to Product Managers in the development of product business cases as well as management of the product life cycle. This position reports to the Assistant Manager of Product Management and collaborates with the Brand Managers, Product Managers, Marketing Creative, Marketing Communications and Sales teams, as well as with several departments including the cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) team.


  • Are you passionate about enhancing products? You’ll assist Product Managers in the preparation of product development objectives and provide support to track and maintain schedules for all phases of product development and market introduction.
  • Are you quick to recognize opportunities? You will assist the Product Managers in evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of current products, identifying and recommending enhancements, as well as, assisting with product pricing and margin evaluation. You will participate as an alternate in New Product Introduction meetings and assist Product Managers in project management related activities. You will also recommend and develop product marketing programs to support product growth or end-of-life stages.
  • Are you detail-oriented? You will manage part numbers and related information in the ERP system and assist with Change Orders as required.
  • Are you an Excel Pro? You will provide reporting and analysis to support forecasting and production planning purposes, participate in monthly forecasting meetings/discussions and work towards eventually taking a lead role in an assigned product category.
  • Are you reporting savvy? You will develop sales and marketing reports that support business activity on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Are you analytical? You will gather, analyze and evaluate competitive information, working closely with the Product Managers to coordinate the communication of the findings.
  • Do you enjoy off-site collaborations? You will assist in the planning and execution of Sales and Marketing events, including Sales and Dealer Meetings, as related to Product Management. You’ll also attend tradeshows, sales and marketing seminars, retail shows and visit Dealers, as needed.
  • Are you a strong presenter? You will collaborate with the Product Managers and assist with the preparation of presentation materials, such as: PowerPoint decks, product analytics and image resources.
  • Do new projects motivate you? You will have the opportunity to take ownership on special projects.
  • Are you a strong communicator? You will be asked to develop internal written communications to executive and cross-functional teams as well as product communications and training for the Sales team and Dealers.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Marketing or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two to three years of Product Management or closely related experience, similar in scope to the responsibilities outlined above, is required.
  • Experience should include understanding of consumer products, brand and product positioning, project management, business, use of technology (Internet, E-mail, word processing, spreadsheets and electronic presentations.)
  • Product Management and/or Marketing experience in a manufacturing environment; high-ticket durable goods or pool and spa industry experience preferred.
  • High proficiency level in Microsoft Office products such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g. Navision.)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as strong ability to work in a team environment, are required to be successful in this position.
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (~5%) for Sales and Dealer Meetings.
