Ensure flights are conducted safely, efficiently, and with a high level of customer service focus and in such a way that supports the Department’s mission to preserve time and create opportunity which include, but are not limited to the following areas:

  • Work within the Masco Flight Operations Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Ensure flights operate in compliance with the Masco General Operations Manual, FARs, SOPs, State, and Local regulations
  • Supervise crewmembers assigned to flight
  • Submit, brief, and debrief Flight Risk Assessments (FRATs)
  • When situations warrant, submit Safety and ASRS reports
  • Ensure cargo and onboard equipment is properly documented and handled
  • Maintain a working knowledge of relevant FAA regulations, business aviation trends, and other pertinent aviation matters
  • Conducts thorough pre-and post-flight activities
  • Actively participate in various Department committees as assigned
  • Complete ancillary tasks assigned by the Director of Aviation/Chief Pilot

Experience and Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • ATP or Commercial Pilot Certificate with a valid instrument rating and “English Proficient” endorsement
  • Valid passport, ability to obtain Detroit Airport (KDTW) security credentials, and valid driver’s license
  • 3000 hours total time; however, Masco may consider a candidate with less than 3000 hours based on the type of experience
  • Appropriate FAA Medical Certificate
