As a Project Engineer on our team, you will report to the Sr. Engineering Program Manager and be actively involved in researching, planning, designing, and managing mechanical and electromechanical engineering projects for our innovative and top-selling spas such as Freeflow Spas®, Fantasy Spas®, Lifesmart Spas, and other American Hydrotherapy Systems products. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and interact with senior and executive management within the organization.


  • Do you have a diverse engineering background? You will be the main design and project engineer for our top-selling spas such as Freeflow Spas®, Fantasy Spas®, Lifesmart Spas, and other American Hydrotherapy Systems products, while incorporating fundamental concepts of rotational molding, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or heat transfer sciences. You’ll also design plastic componentry for injection, extrusion, and vacuum molding, including evaluating and selecting appropriate plastic materials.
  • Do you have strong project management skills? In this role, you will need to be able to work independently while also contributing to a team environment, successfully manage multiple engineering projects concurrently, and demonstrate strong follow-through. You’ll also oversee in-house and outside resources from concept to factory introduction, with responsibility for art-to-part design, cost/budget control, timelines, and safety. You will also be responsible for ensuring that implementation activities of products and systems conform to engineering design and project specifications.
  • Are you results-oriented? We are looking for demonstrated ability to work towards results and the ability to successfully prioritize tasks and projects. As a part of this, you’ll also be looked upon to improve process work flow and efficiency when possible, and work to avoid future issues as it relates to engineering designs.
  • Can you drive process improvement?  You will be integral in improving process efficiency related to the overall manufacturing process of your assigned products, and improve overall performance and effectiveness of items such, raw materials and other cost savings initiatives.
  • Are you analytical? You will design and execute testing protocols with both in-house and third-party partners. From there, you will be responsible for analyzing data/results and incorporating those results into design and development activities.
  • Are you a team-player? You will collaborate and partner closely with cross-functional teams and other departments such as Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales and Marketing, during the engineering process.  You will need to communicate effectively with various teams and audiences while ensuring the project requirements stay within scope and manufacturing capabilities, and drive towards win-win outcomes.
  • Are you customer-focused? You will evaluate field and warranty issues and recommend design modifications to eliminate product and process weaknesses, keeping customer preferences in mind.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or directly related discipline. Master's degree is preferred but not required. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in design and manufacturing process engineering is required. Experience in rotational molding and injection molding design is strongly preferred.  Experience working with consumer products, design, thermoforming, and/or plastics and materials is a plus.
  • High proficiency in CAD, FEA, MS Office, and project management.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and ability in process improvement, cost savings, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization and strong ability to work in a team environment are necessary to be successful in this position.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish (read, write, speak) is a plus.
  • Must be willing and able to travel ~20% (U.S., Mexico, Asia) or approximately 1 day/week.
