Delta Faucet Company has an excellent opportunity for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Indianapolis team.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying & implementing new technologies, in support of the Industry 4.0 roadmap, across the manufacturing network to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost metrics.



Principal Accountabilities:

  • Leads the implementation and configuration of plant’s I4.0/IT/digitalization solutions
  • Specify, review, run-off, install capital equipment
  • Provide project management, process introduction, process improvement leadership
  • Define and act on quality enhancements, service improvement and cost saving opportunities
  • Develop and implement changes in operational workflow, as needed, to improve and accelerate the flow of material through the facilities
  • Develop process improvement or cost saving business cases, when appropriate
  • Maintain and build adequate manufacturing capacity


Nature & Scope:

Do you have a strong problem-solving mentality and skill set to help identify and resolve key issues resulting in poor performance?

In this role, you will complete specification, project management, run-off and purchase of capital equipment to support execution of the Industry 4.0 roadmap and additional process and product improvement projects.

You will rely on your manufacturing knowledge, computer science understanding and experience to help guide the organization (and occasionally suppliers) to improve processes and product designs. You will have the opportunity to research, pilot and implement “smart manufacturing” ideas/concepts.

You will interact with all levels of our organization during the implementation and management of projects. This individual must be able to see the “big” picture surrounding process &/or product issues, weighing costs and benefits, to pursue those solutions that provide the best outcome for the organization.

This position should be comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team, managing multiple concurrent projects and be able to deal with changing priorities. This individual should also have a desire to continually learn and improve technical and professional skills.

This position does not have any direct reports, and reports to the Senior Director - Operational Services.



Education and Experience/Skills:

  • Degree from a 4-year college or university and a minimum of 2 years of practical application experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Project management and highly developed communication skills
  • Statistics and process capability understanding
  • General computer data science; knowledge of PLCs and programming
  • Fiscal understanding/responsibility and negotiating skills are helpful
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and CI tools (material flow, DMAIC, DFMA, VE/VA, process mapping, BPK, etc.)
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent organization skills
  • The individual is ambitious, disciplined and possesses the ability to shift priorities easily as business priorities change
  • Able and willing to travel 60-70%
