We are seeking an Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk to join our Accounting team!

IN A NUTSHELL

Do you enjoy working with numbers and supporting team goals?  This role supports the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Collections teams.  A typical workday will include processing and posting payments, reviewing aging reports for payment recommendations and corresponding with dealers and banks via phone and email.  Another key area includes building and maintaining positive relationships with dealers, company departments and outside agencies through reconciling accounts and collecting past due amounts to minimize our outstanding receivables and the company’s exposure to potential losses.

IS THIS YOU?

  • Are you customer focused?  The Accounts Receivable responsibilities will mostly entail reviewing and posting deposits and credit memos, but you will also work closely with invoicing, regulating accounts, sending electronic file transfers and responding to warranty and customer service requests.
  • Is attention to detail your strong suit?  The Accounts Payable responsibilities will include sorting and distributing mail along with reconciling invoices through two- and three- way matching.  You will often coordinate other departments’ correspondences with vendors as well as post invoices.
  • Are you well versed in reporting?  The main credit responsibilities are reviewing Summary and Detail Dealer Aging reports and, when appropriate, providing recommendations (to include account maintenance requests) to Credit personnel.  This will also, at times, require additional communication among our dealers and banks.
  • Are you a team player?  To better support the Accounting team at large, other general duties will include pulling files, making copies of documents/reports, documenting pertinent correspondences and assisting with journal entry preparation.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Associates degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Business; minimum of 2 years’ related experience.  The equivalent combination of technical education and experience may be considered.
  • The individual must be able to interface with co-workers, internal departments, service providers, and vendors/customers in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking. 
  • Proficient user in MS Office suite, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g. Navision) is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment.
