We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role should be a highly driven, detailed, and results oriented individual.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process AP invoices and respond to inquiries and requests from vendors and internal departments for any A/P related issues

  • Process payments via Wire, ACH and manual check

  • Process P-card and Travel card payments

  • Assist with monthly close process including preparation of monthly accrual entries and intercompany letters

  • New vendor setup: contact new vendor, process the paperwork/online set-up, obtain their W-9 and TIN match for 1099 reporting

  • Identify opportunities for lean process improvements and assist in implementation of changes to improve the integrity of financial information

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual journal entry preparation, general ledger account reconciliations and financial statement preparation

  • Assist with audits, tax requests, financial reporting, Sox compliance and other special projects as assigned

  • Liaise and build relationships with department leaders to understand cross-functional impacts of transactions

  • Integrate new technology including Enterprise Resource Planning software: testing, deployment, training, improvement

    Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, and a keen interest in learning new technology

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience

  • Knowledge of accounting cycle, closing process, and basic accrual accounting

  • Ability to handle a high volume of invoices and deadlines on a weekly basis

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks independently under tight monthly deadline

  • Attention to detail, organized and thorough, with a desire for continuous improvement

  • Works effectively within a team environment and individually

  • Excellent communication and administrative skills
