The WAN Administrator is responsible for handling the day-to-day operation of computer networks by designing and implementing data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems; supports the telecommunications system; administers system back-ups and active directory; maintains multiple servers; provides remote connectivity hardware/software support; maintains database and other related responsibilities.


  • Troubleshoots and resolves all end users 24/7 with network or technical concerns at the company headquarters, parent company headquarters, or any other outside representative’s imperative to the company’s business
  • Designs, maintains and supports the company’s telecommunications and messaging systems
  • Designs, maintains, and supports the entire WAN/LAN network
  • Manages backup systems
  • Administers and Supports SIP/Skype Voice Infrastructure
  • Administers the company’s active directory
  • Assists in the maintenance of multiple Servers
  • Maintains the network UPS strategy
  • Administers e-mail and smart devices
  • Collects network usage reports for management review.
  • Maintains the network equipment database
  • Develops and maintains documentation
  • Renews maintenance agreements and purchases equipment
  • Complies with company policies; work rules; safety requirements; quality standards; and applicable local, state, and federal legislation
  • Performs other related duties as needed and assigned


  • Associate Science in Computer Information Services, Management Information Services or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in an Information Technology Networking role
  • Experience required in the following: Cisco Route, switches, Aruba ClearPass, Window operating systems, Cisco IOS, Paloalto PAN-OS and Active Directory Administrator


  • Bachelor Science in Computer Information Services, Management Information Services or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in CIS, MIS or closely related experience
  • Experience in VMware, NetApp Storage Administrator or MS Certificate Administration
