Job Title:                             Leader, Supply Chain Optimization

Job Summary:

This position has multiple leadership and analytical responsibilities to support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and inventory management for both the Dealer and KHC divisions of Kichler Lighting.  This role will be focused on supporting the Director of Supply Chain with analytics, tools and process implementation and/or improvements for all forecasting, planning, and inventory management activities that support operations.  This role will also be responsible for creating a supply chain center of excellence providing support to the operations team on KPI visibility, assisting with the design of an optimized planning group, dashboard creation and developing an internal SME and Super User Program for all supply chain functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all analytics and tool creations and/or maintenance to support the supply chain forecasting, planning and scheduling functions
  • Assist with the development of KPI tracking scorecards to show daily, weekly or monthly supply chain performance
  • Assist with development and improvement of the S&OP and inventory management processes
  • Assist with improving the supply and capacity planning and purchasing strategy to support the S&OP process and operation team
  • Continuously improve tool information processing capabilities and analysis (for ease of use to users)
  • Assist with the development of proof of concept tools to provide IT with a framework for what systems and functionality is critical to the success of the supply chain functions
  • Train all key stakeholders on how to leverage and use tools to get information required to analyze channels, product segments and operations they support
  • Assist IT with any necessary software selection to help improve supply chain efficiency for S&OP visibility and planning capabilities, i.e. BW reporting, bolt-on systems, ERP recommendations, etc.
  • Complete any ad-hoc or special analysis request to assist the operations leadership team
  • Assist with analysis to support Working Capital reduction and inventory management initiatives
  • Serve as a mentor and liaison/consultant for key S&OP stakeholders and/or peers across the organization
  • Assist with the deployment of global supply chain center of excellence (including but not limited to forecasting, distribution capacity planning, master scheduling, and inventory management)

Education Requirements:            Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Requirements:          5 – 7 years

Certification Requirements:       APICS Certification (preferred)

Travel Requirements:                    25%

Work Hours:                                      M - F (flexible), may require some weekends or OT (upon request)

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in mathematics, finance, engineering, science or equivalent analytical field
  • Strong communications skills, self-motivated, self-starter and ability to multi-task
  • Solid operations, supply chain and or manufacturing background
  • Some experience in Sale and Operations Planning and Inventory Management
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Power Point and Visio)
  • Experience and proficiency in using ERP systems (specifically forecasting and planning functionality)
  • Experience and proficiency in how to extract and manipulate data from an ERP system or any other databases
  • Ability to influence individuals with no direct reporting lines
  • Ability to work on a cross functional team
  • Ability to take direction from peers and key stakeholders with no direct reporting lines
  • Planning, production scheduling and some distribution experience in an ERP system
  • Ability to use visual basic code to automate functionality within Microsoft Excel
  • Detailed orientated

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forecasting or demand planning experience (a plus)
  • Master’s degree in business, mathematics, finance, engineering, science or equivalent analytical field
