Develops quality assurance programs designed to ensure process control of products consistent with established standards to meet customer expectations. Reviews process to propose effective process control plans. Organizes and develops systems to assure that all products meet mandated regulations and product requirements. 


  • Effectively proposes Quality Planning activities to ensure effective consistency of product and ensure regulations are met.
    • Works with Marketing and or Engineering to ensure requirements are well defined.
    • Works with the New Product experts to review product requirements and ensure all required testing or other activities are covered in the project plan.
    • Effectively proposes benchmarking activities to ensure products are placed as intended in the market.
    • Assure Quality objectives are being met that are consistent and complementary to corporate policies and goals.
    • Proposes expenditures that may be required to ensure product requirements can be met
  • Reviews Process Control Plans (PCP) of suppliers to ensure the plans can meet the objectives of the organization.
    • Applies tools such as statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current or similar process changes.
    • Proposes events, such as Kaizen, or DOE trials that can focus effort on generally chronic issues based on ongoing production results.
    • Pareto charts top non-conformances and develops a method for solving the issues though effective corrective action plans
  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities and propose them to the Quality Assurance Manager.
    • Works with other members of functional areas to assure process control methods can meet expectations.
  • Compliment actions with New Product Development activities


Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics with at least 2-5 years of related quality experience. Quality Assurance experience in an Engineering or Supervisor role preferred. Experience with metalworking, plating and coatings, extrusion, anodizing, stamping, forging and forming, plastics molding are all desired.

Computer Skills:

  • Corrective Action report development skills in software such as Q-Solve.
  • Microsoft applications for Office Environments Required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • JDE/PKMS and Minitab a plus
