POSITION SUMMARY:

The Systems & SIOP Manager will lead a team of employees responsible for facilitating and leading Brasscraft’s Sales, Inventory and Operations process and the integration of Supply Chain’s planning platforms. The SIOP Manager reports directly to Director, Supply Chain. This role will be responsible for the developing and communicating operational plans and company-wide risks associated with supporting annual financial objectives (e.g. revenue targets). This person will be a leader in achieving sustained customer service levels above 95%. The SIOP Manager will be the departmental spearhead for all planning system changes, upgrade and migrations (e.g. ERP transitions and upgrades).


Consensus Plans and Financial Impacts Review
 

  • Responsible for integrating an 18-month view product availability review based on strategic long-term objectives.  These objectives will integrate into AOP, SDP and annual objectives.
  • Provide BMC leadership with key gaps between supply and demand, including but not limited to item exception reports and coordinates input of their recommended adjustments.
  • Provide SC Director and Plant Materials Manager with analysis and exception reporting required to assist in the mid- and long-term planning of man, material and machine.
  • Ensure that all questions and issues related to forecasting and demand planning are resolved to create a final agreed to demand plan prior to conducting the supply planning process
  • Collaborate with Director, Operations and Plant Materials Managers to ensure a monthly head-count, shift plan for each site that calls out constrained work-centers and an agreed upon OT levels to support forecast demand
  • Develop, maintain and deploy new tools and metrics used in the monthly SIOP cycles
  • Host monthly SIOP meetings between sales, marketing, operations, and executives, including Consensus Supply Plan reviews and executive SIOP. This includes meeting ownership, meeting reports and recaps.
  • Perform the analysis required to determine the financial impacts of the demand and supply plans. Report the effects to top line and bottom-line financial performance as well as any capital implications.

Inventory Planning
 

  • Assist in the development and lead the deployment of BMC’s inventory strategy (Raw, WIP and FG) that delivers 80 days of working capital inventory
  • Manage and communicate all aspects of BMCs inventory situation through a monthly review process including; gross and net dollars, SLOB, inventory reduction project status, forecasts and risks.
  • Act as the primary liaison between supply chain, Finance (e.g. FP&A) and Information Technology.
  • Responsible for leading BMCs inventory cycle count processes across all sites.
  • Be an agent of change in championing inventory, with specific focus on make-buy, product life-cycle and inventory reduction project decisions.
  • Monitor inventory levels at all network locations and sets appropriate targets to maintain working capital reduction goals
  • Set safety stocks at all stocking locations and manage inventory levels according to the overall inventory strategy. Provide input/analysis regarding system generated safety stock levels. 
  • Manages SLOB/E&O and works with each site and the Financial teams to disposition.
  • Be an agent of change in Championing inventory and service level improvement initiatives.
     

SYSTEMS
 

  • Responsible for the selection, deployment, configuration, integration and maintenance of all system tools that support Supply Chain planning.  This includes ERP implementations/upgrades as well as supply chain specific programs such as Manugistics.  
  • Develop a Multi-year technology roadmap that leverages BMC supply chain for future growth and customer service.
  • Lead all cost-benefit analysis and business cases associated with supply chain related system enhancements, upgrades and implementations.
  • Design, implement and maintain the processes for auditing, updating and maintaining all supply chain master data.
  • Design and implement a technology training program for onboarding supply chain personnel. 
  • Teach, coach and mentor team members in system platform performance and optimization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Information Technology from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Supply Chain
  • Minimum 12 combined years’ experience between Supply Chain, Finance and Information Technology and Project Management

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • MBA or master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and/or Project Management Certification
  • Experience in ERP transitions
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the org chart
  • Experience in a management role
  • Experience with Manugistics and/or J.D. Edwards ERP.
     

Position Success Criteria
 

  • Ability to gather data, use statistics for analysis, and report findings accurately and communicate that data to all levels of the organization, including the senior leadership team
  • Power user of MS Excel and a high level of proficiency in all other MS Office products
  • Excellent business presentation, writing and communication skills --- must be able to produce reports and recap concise executive summaries that address issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
