JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:

Work with the Pro team to drive architectural sales goals and objectives, and execute plan with the Architectural Sales Representatives. Work with field sales teams to facilitate color, inspiration and design to key customer segments. Promote and expand knowledge of Behr Products and Services in the Architectural, Specifications and Design Community by improving techniques to support the team’s Behr’s specification presence to increase leads.

  • Mentor, coach and guide an Architectural and Design team to ensure the company’s business objectives are being met.
  • Facilitate color trend focused presentations to large audiences and key Designer Trade Shows
  • Coordinate membership, participation, and support of local CSI Chapters, Product Shows/Events to increase and support architect/specifier relationships.
  • Coordinate efforts with Pro Sales Team to ensure that sales efforts are supported generation of contractor bid opportunities and submittals.
  • Provide support at national / regional AIA/CSI and other Trade Shows as identified to build Behr’s National and Regional presence.
  • Collaborate with Spec. Central Department on National Account Specifications, Architect relationship development through the submittal database, regulatory issues including LEED programs.
  • May supervise direct reports.
  • Uphold Behr/Kilz business values and philosophy of “do the right thing” in all business interactions.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans/quotas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 yrs. of proven success in sales or sales management experience
  • Strong writing, mathematical, computer and communication skills required
  • Extremely organized and highly motivated, ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and account results
  • Sales Force and CRM knowledge is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%
  • Continuous self-development to stay current competitive intelligence in the industry.
