This job provides day-to-day support to the Production Control Manager by running the daily backlog report in support of the daily order pass and factory loading. This role will also supervise inventory control personnel, production control team and shipping department. This role will support our customers and create and supply information to the Plant Managers as needed for plant status reports such as OTC, backlog and the like. The selected individual will ultimately own Compliance for the Sayre site pertaining to the rules governed by Sarbanes Oxley (Separation of duties etc.)


Reports To:                Plant Production Control Manager

Supervises:                 Shipping/Receiving personnel, Inventory Control Personnel and floor expediters.

Works With:              Manufacturing Management and Supervisors

Must have previous experience with Excel, Unidata, Prod-Dock and DP

Education/Experience:         Associates degree from an accredited 2-year college or university; and three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Personal Skills/Abilities:       Must possess excellent supervisory and management skills, have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and be an integral part of plant leadership by being able to give directives and maintain policy/procedures with authority.  Great communication skills are necessary along with very good computer skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Language Skills:                    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, supervisors, employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Mathematical Skills:              Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.                                     

Reasoning Ability:               Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Safety Glasses, Protective Shoes and Hearing protection when in production areas.  Might be required to wear other personal protective equipment depending on job area.


Coordinate regular inventories Coordinate scheduling of shop floor orders Attend regular production meetings Masco regarding purchasing and scheduling issues Oversee/monitor inventory adjustments (daily/weekly) Prepare inventory reduction plan Prepare scheduling plan to level-load all departments utilizing AS400/R6000 software.


Checks incoming receipts in a timely manner Deals with shipping/receiving traffic issues Assists in query development and maintenance for the AS400/R6000 systems.
