POSITION SUMMARY:

The People Services Specialist role is responsible for managing core HR services and policies for the company, with a focus on, compensation, benefits, payroll, leave of absence and compliance. The role serves as the liaison between Brasscraft and the Masco HR compensations, benefits, and services team. The incumbent will partner with business and employee facing HR team members to resolve complex issue and understand business and employee needs.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee core HR services and programs, including compensation & benefits programs and activities, so that they meet the organization’s objectives with regards to internal equity and external market competitiveness, including job evaluation and classification, salary administration, employee benefits; exempt and non-exempt compensation; salary packaging according Masco policies and practices
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Manager and Talent Partners to determine compensation decisions and strategies that are appropriate for their business’ needs, but consistent with the overall reward strategy
  • Partner with Masco’s compensation team to analyze and evaluate external market data as well as internal data about the organization’s current to ensure salary budgets and forecasts are consistent with Masco’s reward strategy and job catalogue
  • Coordinates the annual Open Enrollment initiatives and events. Coordinates annual retirement seminars and individual counseling sessions with vendors
  • Provide coaching and consultation to People Services Partners on questions regarding compensation, benefits, and applicable policies or procedures; may research complex questions or requests to provide viable options/solutions to assist in decision making
  • Manage work visa case load, partnering with People Services Partners and third-party administrator to  support employees navigating the process
  • Oversight of HCM system and overall employee data management, providing governance and direction to rest of HR team on HCM transactions
  • Advise on the creation and review of internal policies
  • Identify areas for innovation across People Operations
  • Partner with Accounting department on payroll and headcount reporting
  • Acts as a liaison between Masco HR service departments and the company, partnering on communications, changes and issue resolution
  • Work with Leadership to further develop a strategy to optimize HRIS system to meet requirements and help drive efficiencies
     

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • University (Degree), preferred master’s degree in business and HR labor relations
  • Minimum 7 years of compensation/benefit experience
  • Experience working with payroll systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Technological sound – Excel, Kronos, Workday experience
  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR or GPHR
