Position Overview

Located at the Masco corporate offices in Livonia, Michigan, the Manager, Financial Reporting will be responsible for the preparation of our quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings.  Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, the incumbent will also be involved in various analyses and special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•        Support the growth and development of team members and actively coach/mentor

•        Review and preparation of the quarterly 10-Q’s and annual 10-K

•        Review of quarterly financial statement analysis

•        Support international and domestic locations on accounting and reporting issues

•        Provide expertise on various complex U.S. GAAP matters, including but not limited to employee benefits, stock-based compensation, impairment testing, leases, revenue recognition

•        Prepare technical accounting white paper position papers

•        Work directly with internal and external auditors to provide analysis and any required audit documentation necessary for the successful completion of any audit

•        Create and maintain Masco accounting policies

•        Special projects (lean process improvements, acquisitions, divestitures, etc.)

•        Review of annual Pension financial statements

•        Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting


•        BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance

•        Certified Public Accountant


•        Minimum 7 years relevant work experience in accounting/finance

•        Prior supervisory experience; works effectively within a team environment and leading team members

•        Demonstrates strong analytical skills with a high level of competence and proficiency in U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations

•        Strong interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking and written/oral communication skills.

•        High level of professional excellence characterized by sound judgment skills and drive for results

•        Ability to handle dynamic, fast-paced environment

•        Self-started, detail oriented

•        Proven ability to handle confidential information and interact effectively with senior financial management
