A Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis job in Tacoma, WA is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. You must be a finance professional with a manufacturing background. The position will lead a team that is responsible for items such as forecasting, financial analysis, management reporting, annual operating plans (AOP) and developing business cases. The position will engage with other finance staff, both in the Corporate Headquarters and at our multi-state manufacturing operations, as well as analysts from other functions (Sales and Operations). The position will have significant engagement with the CFO and will have exposure to other members of the executive team. Milgard Windows & Doors is the leading manufacturer of windows and doors in the Western United States with operations in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, and Texas.

Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis job responsibilities include:

  • Develop recurring monthly monetary forecasts and analyses required by the parent company.
  • Generate recurring monthly analysis and reports required by the Milgard leadership team.
  • Responsible for the process used to generate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the Long-Range Plan (LRP).
  • Ad hoc reporting and investigation to support business decisions.
  • Develop business cases and Return on Investment (ROI) report breakdowns to support new product development and capital expenditures.
  • Develop models to support strategic planning and "what-if" scenarios.
  • Generate study/research tools and templates used by finance staff at manufacturing locations.
  • Partner with Information Technology (IT) on the continued enhancement of tools used to support forecasting, AOP and analysis.

Qualifications Include:

  • Seven plus years' experience in Finance or Accounting with a clear progression of increased responsibilities.
  • Three plus years' experience supervising/leading others.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and concisely summarize it in order to effectively engage with the leadership team and other stakeholders.
  • Highly organized; strong critical thinking skills; excellent business perspective; self-motivated.
  • Experience in manufacturing is strongly desired.
  • Advanced skills with Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Use of tools to support the budgeting and forecasting process such as IBM Cognos TM1.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics is required
  • Advanced degrees and/or Certifications are preferred.
