Purpose: 

The Maintenance Technician is required to work relatively independently. They are required to perform multi-craft repair work on building and equipment as needed. They must also create work instructions and documents. They are required to maintain the sprinkler system, fire system, roofing, Plater and repair machines.  They also must be willing to work in confined spaces, extreme heights, wear a respirator and lift heavy objects. They are required to work with high voltage electrical systems. They also must respond quickly in a professional manner to a multitude of stressful situations. They are required to maintain a power equipment license.  The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the company’s mission statement and the overall business objectives.

Nature & Scope:

The Maintenance Technician is required to follow all safety processes and procedures. This position requires working with maintenance stores to help setup spare repair parts and PMs. They are also required to complete special projects and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment. This position reports to the Plant Engineering Manager. 

Dimensions:

  • Basic working knowledge of PLCs
  • Monitor building and equipment in order to document and perform preventive maintenance
  • Possess knowledge of conveying and sorting equipment
  • Read blue prints
  • Pay close attention to details
  • Ability to multi-task

Education and Experience/Skills




High School graduate or GED

Fast-paced team environment experience is preferred

Prior manufacturing experience is required (3-5 years) 



Ability to interpret reports & analyze data

Computer skills

Technical degree is preferred but not required
