IT Security Analyst 

Summary: 

IT Security Analyst is a critical role supporting the Information Security practices at Kichler. In this role, the ideal candidate supports maintaining and expanding existing security infrastructure, evaluating emerging technology and implementing new systems, processes and procedures to maintain the IT information security of Kichler information assets 

Essential Job Functions: 

•       Develops operational activities implementing the enterprise-wide information security program and related procedures and performance metrics 

•       Reviews and contributes to the improvement and standardization of the security administration process  

•       Supports IT security architecture and system design guidelines and evaluates and/or assists in IT system designs to ensure appropriate controls and protections are included 

•       Ensures security practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements and remain applicable and relevant in today’s security environment 

•       Serves as backup to Senior security analyst and System Administrators 

•       Supports Develop, Operate and Maintain security solutions to protect corporate data and systems 

•       Monitor Infrastructure networks for security breaches and investigate a violation when one occurs 

•       Monitor IT systems and users on a constant basis to ensure compliance with established computer security protocols and provide appropriate discipline and training to violators of standard procedures. 

•       Supports computer security incident response activities, including incident identification and investigation, containment and remediation, reporting and post-incident analysis 

•       Ensures enterprise IT security architecture is compliant with corporate and regulatory needs 

•       Identify process functions, risk, security weaknesses and controls; present security challenges and resolutions to management 

•       Manages quarterly risk assessment program 

•       Researches and deploy approved new technologies, and manage transition to operational service 

•       Participates in the creation, testing and implementation of network and system disaster recovery plan 

•       Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

•       A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT support role within an enterprise environment 

•       A minimum of Associate Degree IT, Engineering field or equivalent job experience 

•       Proficient with enterprise computing systems, domain environments, security tools and methodologies, Windows Servers / Workstations, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls required.  

•       VMWare experience a plus. 

•       Advanced understating of Microsoft product offering and technologies such as Windows OS, Office, OS Server/Workstation enterprise deployment and remote management.   

•       Basic understating of common scripting languages (vbasic, bash, batch, powershell) and ability to create simple scripts utilizing sample code.  

•       Basic understanding of regex expressions.  

•       Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts. 

•       Understanding of patch management cycle with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact. 

•       Understating of basic evasive detection techniques currently utilized by bad actors.  

•       Ability to work independently while researching emerging security technologies, testing and deploying solutions. Ability to work with teams that may not have the same level of security expertise but are key to the overall security platform of all systems and endpoints. 

•       Must be able to fully test all proposed solutions prior to implementing to guarantee little loss of production time of enterprise systems. 

•       Ability to document clearly and concisely. Good overall verbal and written communication skills. 

•       Ability to see the “big picture” and think outside of the box, as our adversaries will be doing the very same thing to attempt an intrusion. 

•       Proficiency with the Cisco network stack a plus 

•       Relevant Information Security certifications a plus 

•       Experience with SOX and PCI, or similar regulations a plus.
