Milgard Windows & Doors is the leading manufacturer of windows and doors in the Western United States with operations in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, and Texas. 

We’re excited to announce that we have an exciting Summer Internship opportunity and are seeking a university/college-level Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) student to join our corporate headquarters Human Resources team in Tacoma, Washington.  We will require an individual who is currently pursuing a degree in either Environmental, Health & Safety or Business Administration and will be entering their Junior or Senior year in fall 2019.  This full-time internship will begin in June, based on candidate availability, and extend through late summer (August/September).

The EH&S Intern will report to our Corporate EH&S Manager and will be tasked with activities in these areas:

  • Assist in the standardization of company-wide EHS programs
  • Support the development of PowerPoint presentations for training on EH&S content
  • Assist with development of inspection checklists and involvement in auditing
  • Demonstrated Excel proficiency to ensure accurate entry into databases and follow up analysis on safety metrics
  • Communicate with EHS team members to facilitate best practice and incident sharing
  • Additional duties as assigned
