The Quality Director will be a highly motivated, results oriented leader, with experience designing and implementing improvements in quality systems, global supplier quality and multi-site manufacturing operations. The position will participate with product development teams and mentor the process of defining product quality, testing protocol and material selection. The Director of Quality ensures that the organization’s products and services are in compliance with the company’s quality requirements and expectations, in addition to complying with customer requirements for quality, safety, and reliability. The leader will have a broad knowledge of Quality tools and the ability to assess quality strategically while deploying tactically through multiple teams and functions.


  • Assess and develop short and long-term plans for improving the Company’s Quality Management System.
  • Develop, define and implements standards for process and product quality based on best practice, and successfully deploys them across all relative functional departments, factories and suppliers. 
  • Conduct regular meetings with senior leadership and functional leaders to review metrics and gaps in critical process capability.  
  • Works with Engineering and Marketing on new product development through established quality process (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.).
  • Champions data driven root cause analysis leading to corrective action and performance improvement
  • Supports Purchasing with supplier development through definition of quality policy and sharing of best practices
  • Reviews and resolves quality control problems/concerns with others including vendors, customers, quality control personnel, and any personnel related to production. 
  • Directs quality-related activities and improvements in conjunction with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and any other department/function that affects the quality of the organization’s goods or services.
  • Ensures the receipt and review all customer contacts, complaints and MR’s. Reviews complaint trends and product/component failure analysis; establishes and leads corrective actions reviews with appropriate personnel/teams.
  • Prepare the Quality department budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Travel requirement – 25%


  • Direct management of corporate quality team with indirect leadership for both manufacturing sites and supplier quality


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or similar technical degree
  • Minimum 8 years in Quality Engineering and/or Quality Management in a manufacturing business with a deep understanding quality tools and systems and experience in statistical analysis


  • Master’s Degree
  • A background in product design and manufacturing processes


  • ASQ Certification, PE, Six Sigma Black Belt
