This position is responsible for supporting the Continuous Improvement Manager. They will help to manage all facility quality programs, and implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) methods such as TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 8-D Problem Solving and Value Analysis to drive out waste and improve productivity.  This role will help the C.I. Manager run events and provide training as needed. This will include helping to foster the professional development of facility Leads, Supervisors, and Managers by being a leading, proactive change agent that drives a CI culture.  This position supports the quality department to include improving product quality from process through production by identifying and improving current inspection systems, quality operating procedures, and material and finished goods inspection requirements.


  • Help to facilitate management team to identify and develop annual improvement plans consistent with and in support of the strategic plan and business operating plan.  Support the C.I. Manager by helping to identify goals for CI events and potential quantifiable savings
  • Participate in location Continuous Improvement Steering Committee.
  • Support the C.I. Manager in the selection, scope, and planning of specific improvement projects.
  • Help develop training materials and effectively deliver those materials in a team environment to ensure employees throughout the facility are trained in CI concepts and philosophy.

  • Monitor and maintain event schedules
  • Follow up and audit event progress to ensure results are achieved and sustained.
  • Resolve implementation issues, creating and managing implementation communication processes, and ensuring consistency of implemented processes and programs throughout facility.
  • Coordinate with project leaders and project Chairs to eliminate barriers. Raise awareness if/when   
  • Take a lead role in promoting and improving quality processes, expectations, and results.
  • Support motivating, coaching, and developing people in various departments. 
  • Create and execute MPS objectives; meet MPS commitments and work within the guidelines of MPS.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job.
  • Incorporates Milgard’s vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard philosophy.
  • Supports and executes MPS objectives, meeting MPS commitments and working within the guidelines of MPS; reflects Milgard business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions.
