Meet a few of our Behr Service Members
Elizabeth C
Elizabeth C.
Telecom Specialist, Behr Paint Company

Elizabeth, a Southern California native, joined the US Army shortly after high school graduation. One of the benefits that attracted her to serve was the opportunity to get a college degree paid through the GI Bill.

For most of her military service, she served as a Tactical Switchboard Operator/Maintainer in Germany. After spending an additional one and a half years in the Reserves, she successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecom Management through the Veterans Administration work-study program.

She joined Behr in 2015 as a Telecom Specialist, and loves every aspect of her role. Elizabeth appreciates how her military service taught her to be adaptable, get things done with minimal guidance, and have a continuous improvement mindset.

In her 30+ year career, Behr is the only organization where she feels the same level of camaraderie and teamwork that she experienced in the Army. She especially appreciates that her IT Department head is a former military service member.

Craig P.
Territory Sales Representative, Behr Paint Company

Craig was born and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio area and entered the United States Navy after high school. Growing up with a heavy interest in aviation, he entered the Navy as an Aviation Ordnance Technician and reached the rank of E-4 before finishing his enlistment.

He entered the military to provide himself with more diverse experiences through travel and learning about individuals from varying backgrounds. When his enlistment was complete, he chose to return to Cleveland where he is currently a Territory Sales Representative for Behr Paint.

Craig believes the military taught him to take pride in his job, to have a team mentality of working together, and to clearly communicate while working hard to make a better life for himself and his family.

Taneya R.
Filling Supervisor, Behr Paint Company

Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Taneya currently serves in the Army National Guard as a Staff Sergeant in the Communication Intelligence arena. She was eager to stay close to where she grew up, so the National Guard provided an excellent opportunity for her to give back to her community. She appreciates the challenge the military provides of professional discipline, healthy lifestyle, and in helping her develop well-rounded leadership skills.

She began her career journey with Behr as a tinter in their distribution center. During her first year, she became a skilled equipment operator, and played a key role in the distribution center relocation. In 2022, Taneya was promoted to Filling Supervisor at Behr’s manufacturing facility where she leads a staff of seven team members.

Taneya enjoys working at Behr and appreciates how the organization and her leaders fully support her when she must report for her military training.

   Behr Veterans Network

Our Behr Veterans Network consists of team members representing 6 different US military service branches as well as those who have served in other countries throughout the world.

The Network’s mission is to strengthen the community of Behr service members by supporting and encouraging one another through shared experiences, military recruitment, career development, community involvement, professional growth, and retention.

In our communities, our Behr veterans lead the way by identifying and leading external veterans’ causes and by strengthening our collaborations with current military service organizations.
